A 1990 car will be VERY troublesome to finance since it's around 11 or 12 model years old. Needless to say, although someone may have offered $17.5K, that person may think that they are going to finance a lot of it. But they probably won't be able to due to the car's age. And if they could, the financing will be real high. Personally, $17.5K is on the high side. I bought my 91TT with 10K miles on it (stock except for Kaminari body kit and window tint) for more than $17.5K (although not much more) back in October. I would have liked to have gotten it for $17.5K, but I wasn't going to pass it up for only a little bit more. In the long run, what kind of car can you buy new for $17.5K and how would it compare to a twin turbo Z? What are you going to get instead...a Honda Civic? To me, it's a no-brainer. I'll take the Z...actually, I already took two of them. ;-) It really all depends on your financial situation.
